It should be noted that Doug Robinson, husband of Dharma, (Kristine, of bath mats fame ) has been named CEO of West Marine.

It should be noted that Doug Robinson, husband of Dharma, (Kristine, of bath mats fame ) has been named CEO of West Marine. Congrats to the Doug and Kristine!. Hopefully Doug can turn West Marine around.

... I don't see any bath mats on the West Marine web site -- maybe that can be corrected now. Dan Hence the problem. West Marine is not Bed, Bath & Beyond, Dick's or LL Bean - but has been trying to be. WB needs to return to its core marine business, lower its prices, and understand that the future of retail is on-line.
