https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UsLa43cWvAUThey are all now retired. This was a cool flyby. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TaksPuAS_RcFarewell ceremony at LAX and tour of the inside of the Delta 747. I still cant believe we would park these beauties. I have to think we have peaked and may never re-ascend with the likes of 757s flying transatlantic and 767s,777s, and 787s with their lesser capacities and dull lines. Bless KLM, British Air, Korean and Lufthansa for not counting the beans so closely to destroy the passion of the 747’s beauty.

In all my flying, I have only flown on a 747 twice. First time was Pan Am from JFK to LAX and I was in the last seat in the very very very back. The second flight was on Lufthansa from Frankfurt to IAD and I was in seat 1A (got upgraded). I have never had a better flight. They are amazing aircraft.
