Sat: Landed in Grenada around 3:45 pm. 8 of us took two taxi’s to Port Louis Marina, about a 15 minute ride, $25/cab. Checked onto our boat, a 45’ Lagoon F w/ Dream Yacht Charters. 5 crew took a $1 bus ride to grocery store (used a cab for the return trip w/ groceries in hand) while 3 of us stayed back and went over the boat. Regatta had just finished and there was an awards party w/ live music and dancing at the marina that we joined. Ordered excellent pizzas for dinner from the marina restaurant.

Sun: Completed boat check-out, checked out of customs at the marina office and got underway around 11:00 am. Spent the night on a mooring ball in Tyrell Bay, Carriacou. Met our favorite boat boy of the trip- Teddy. He is the son of Rondel (Mr. Quality) and he was a pleasure. Had dinner at the Lazy Turtle. The time and attention spent on drink making was impressive. Several of the meals were wonderful (lasagna, and curry chicken and shrimp dishes) while the creole snapper was largely a disappointment. None of the bars/restaurants had the Super Bowl, so we headed back to the boat.

Mon: Spent the day and night at Clifton, Union Island. Loved the village and produce markets. Excellent bakery as well. Checked into customs at the airport office. Had happy hour at the concrete bar/island bar. Only drinks all week that put hair on our chests! Nice vibe, and good music otherwise. Enjoyed watching the kite surfers… next time would arrange for a lesson.

Tues: Headed for Tobago Cays. Enjoyed snorkeling with the turtles and spotted rays. Due to high winds and chop were unable to snorkel out at the reef. Hiked Petit Rameau and Jamesby. Had beach bbq w/ Teddy and Big Momma. Fantastic food -the lobster, tuna, and ribs were dynamite. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset and wonderful meal w/ our own drinks.

Wed: Salt Whistle Bay, Mayreau. Enjoyed walking the beach. Hoped to play a game of sand volleyball, but afternoon rain changed those plans. We hiked up the road to the Catholic church and enjoyed the views. We continued on to the village and picked up some more alcohol and groceries. Righteous Bob’s bar looked interesting- would’ve stopped for a drink if we didn’t have groceries to get back to the boat. We had lunch at the last bar before the jungle. Major disappointment. The food was the worst of the trip. Mama Jean was off island, so there weren’t a lot of other options for eating out.

Thursday: Admiralty Bay, Bequia. Waves picked up to ~12’, so it made the trip a little interesting. Especially when we put the sails down and motored directly into the seas for the last 45 minutes or so. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in the village. We were all glad we made the trek. Spent some time supporting the local artist vendors, the screen print shop and spent happy hour at the Whaleboner….. what a great spot. We had another awesome dinner at Frangiapani’s and they had a great steel drum band playing that night. Friday morning we checked out of customs and walked the princess Margaret trail.

Friday: Chatham Bay, Union Island. Quiet bay, but winds were gusty and swirling so it wasn’t the best night sleep of the trip! Even though the anchor was set there were moments where we got closer than comfortable with nearby boats. Enjoyed snorkeling off the point. We called Mr. Quality Friday afternoon and he stopped by early Saturday morning so we could purchase some Fidel shirts before we left. What a pleasant, patient, and funny man!

Saturday: Headed down to Prickly Bay. Stopped for lunch and snorkeling at Dragon Bay and Moliniere Point. Had a fun happy hour at the Tiki Bar at Prickly Bay Marina.

Sunday: Returned Boat the Port Louis Marina, did our debriefing and checked into customs. Had lunch at the marina restaurant. Pizzas to start the trip and pizzas to end the trip. Showered at the marina (excellent facilities) and caught a cab to the airport.

Nice report, thanks for posting. Was that Happy Island, off Cliffton? They do make some strong drinks there, especially if they use Sunset Rum.
Off the Hook in L'Estere had the game on Sunday, some German yachties got it on their laptop and broadcast it on the TV, was in German though.
Was the dock construction in Tyrell going on and was it noisy?

Drink all day at home, your friends worry about you; do it on vacation and they say "what a good time you're having". Save your friends needless worry, travel more!

It was Happy Island with the strong drinks. We ordered rum punch and painkillers. The painkillers were intense!!! Every sip caused head twitching!

Did not hear any construction at Tyrell. We only used the dingy dock at Lazy Turtle so we were a distance from the main commercial pier.

Someone at the Lazy Turtle was streaming the game on their phone and giving us score updates. None of us really had much interest in the game so we headed back to the boat after dinner.
