After losing our Lagoon 400 to Irma we received our insurance settlement in January. On the declaration document there was a deductible for windstorm (5 % of hull ) so we were quoted a settlement minus the deductible. When I read the Policy there was a paragraph that stated if the yacht was a constructive total loss the deductible would be waived. Long story short after a few phone calls and emails we were paid the deductible on a separate wire transfer.
