Par for NBC. Fake news for sure. If they can't report basic facts straight, how can one trust anything they say? I don't.
JPH I spent my money on booze, broads, and boats...the rest I wasted.

I watched again. In fairness to Stephanie, the caption on the video itself says "Virgin Islands", while the headline in the accompanying blurb says "US Virgin Islands." As Manpot says, sloppy for sure, but not deceitful. All in all, it is a pretty positive story considering everything else that is going on in the world. Turns out there are at least three versions of Ms. Ruhle's footage, ostensibly made while she was on vacation with her family. In addition to the OP's link to the short version included in Lester Holt's nightly news, there is this slightly longer (2 minute) MSNBC version: https://www.msnbc.com/stephanie-ruh...y-in-the-us-virgin-islands-1204382275869and then this even longer (3 minute) MSNBC version https://www.msnbc.com/velshi-ruhle/...overy-since-hurricane-irma-1204468803985Bottom line: Ms. Ruhle's heart seems to be in the right place, but NBC's geographic intelligence level is not high.

I once met a man who asked me where was my home. I responded America. To which he said, Me Too! I live in Brazil. What part of America do you live in? …the United States of America
The audio does say US Virgin Islands The graphic shows Virgin Islands I do no think Irma gave sh_ _ what flag was flying!
I just so happy the healing has begun!
Many of the returning tourist have and are still sharing their love of the VI with efforts of reconstruction. And the media is reporting that Government, nonprofits, and regular people can function as team to get something done. Because surely none of three can do it alone, and there are plenty examples of that.
Both painkillers and bushwackers are too sweet for me. I will take a dark tonic, and then the true debate over the VI can be began - Cruzan or Pusser’s. I raise my glass to all three groups under two flags – Job well done! – There is more to do! Less than 48 hours and it will be wheels up headed for the VI (our work gloves are packed).
