Maybe someone has heard the complaints. Today we got two nice and very professional officers at the airport. They treated us fairly, without any lip.
I could write a novella about the bad ones, like the guy who got angry when we negotiated the duty and then paid him by check, so he couldn’t pocket the cash. Or the woman who berated us for not properly categorizing our items, but told us the manual was secret, then “averaged” everything at the highest rate!
The Customs guy today seemed to remember us, and didn’t even open our bags. Let’s hope this is the new C and I.

Let's hope indeed..I have found Immigration to be " less than pleasant" recently..and customs to be fine. Last thing we need is to be rude to folks with $$ ready to spend in our beloved islands..

Not that I think customs in the BVI is well run but I suspect if you saw things from their end you might get a different perspective. How many coolers of meat and other food are brought in with this standard statement. “Oh it’s about 50 dollars worth of food”. I suspect 2 out of 3 people clearing customs are lying through their teeth about values. Now don’t get me started on immigration at Roadtown. G
