I am looking to stay at a clothing optional hotel with my wife in/near Orient Village. My understanding is the only 2 options that are up & operational are Adam et Eve (AE) and Club Fantastico (CF). I'm struggling as to which one to book.

I was hoping to find someone that has stayed at both places who is in a position to point out any major differences that could make this decision easier.

From the limited research that I did below are my perceptions:

AE is in more of a jungle/secluded setting whereas CF has a view of the ocean.
CF seems as to have more of a social atmosphere and guests seem to spend more time at the hotel.
AE has spa services and a more upscale dining options available.
CF has a better location that its walk able to the beach & village.
AE is a less expensive, but CF comes with drinks.
Rooms both seem to be nice so its hard to handicap.

At this point I'm looking for any information which could move the pendulum. Otherwise, I guess I'll flip a coin and will just stay at one of them now and the other on our next trip.

Thanks.

I don't know anything about Adam et Eve, but I personally would not call Club Fantastico walkable to the beach and village, not for me. It is all uphill to CF and it's quite a walk. Someone did point out in the other CF thread that the parking at CF is a little dicey. The driveway is extremely steep and there are not many parking spaces. Enjoy your trip, regardless of which one you choose!

You might want to also consider http://jardin-do.com/ We've not stayed there yet but it looks very nice and we plan to book next January as Club O will most likely not be fully up and running by then.

Are we there yet?

When are you going? If it's not until the fall I believe Club O. is trying hard to have 30 units open by December. Quite sure I read that somewhere. Not sure that's going to happen, but it might be worth looking into. Also, Carol above is right. It's a haul from Club Fantastico to the beach. My wife and I are pretty strong walkers and that one is just a bit more than we care for, especially walking back from the beach uphill in that direction. The Jardin-do place above sounds nice, so I might look into that myself. Better polish up on my French, though!

Thanks.

We'll be there the first week of October - couldn't pass up $380 airline ticket prices direct from JFK.

My understanding is Jardin-do is projected to re-open in November so that isn't a viable option for this trip. I realize Club Fantastico is a long walk up the hill from the beach, but Adam et Eve is even further away. Normally we've only used the car to go out to dinner. I guess where ever we stay, the car will be used a lot more.

Jardin d'O was not affected by Irma and reopened November 15, 2017....according to their web site. Also, click on the British flag at the top of the web site for the English version.

Thanks.

I saw "November 15th" and assumed that meant 2018 but it was actually 2017.

So now there is a 3rd hotel to consider .. . .

I have stayed at both locations on multiple occasions. Both CF and AE.
I do not think either location is suitable for walking to Orient Beach.
CF is located at the top of the hill with a great view while AE is located one bock past the entry gate into Orient on the right.
There was not a view of the water prior to the hurricane. There may be one now.
Both of the host at both locations are very hospitable and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable.
CF included breakfast and alcohol. AE was a pay as you go on the alcohol but they also included breakfast.
You can't go wrong at either place.
have fun

My wife and I were planning on staying at one of these hotels over the Fourth of July week. She is now not able to get off work that week. I wonder if any of these hotels accept singles or are they couples only? Thanks
