Saw patches in the water when we landed on May 2. They raked some at El Zafiro the next morning but after that, it was a non issue.

We noticed a ton of seaweed to the entrance to the Pinel ferry..... they had backhoe scooping it up and the smell was terrible. On Simpson Bay we did not see any.

None at Simpson Bay Beach for 2 weeks April 27-May 11. Picture in Daily Herald showed enormous amount of seaweed by the Mont Vernon end of Orient.

Orient had piles of it the entire length of the beach; not sure about the Club O end as we didn't go that far. Of course, the beach isn't being maintained now, so that could change.

Tried to go to Pinel today. So much seaweed they cancelled the ferry's to Pinel. Went to Friers instead. No seaweed there and a great day.

No. Kalies is called Roots now but both names are on the menu. No credit cards and 1.25 exchange rate.
