I have 3 crew members traveling with us in June with US Passport Cards. It will cost them $500 to expedite to get the Passport Book.

We are flying from US to USVI, and entering the BVI on a private vessel.

Any issues with US Passport Card for sea entry to BVI, and sea return to USVI, and then flying back to US from STT?

Thanks

Nope..It is exactly what the card was designed for. Use mine all the time. As long as you don't ply into Beef Island you are all good.

Also when are you traveling. Wife renewed her Passport and received it in 3 weeks. Save you money on expediting.

Steve have you tried entering the BVI via boat with just a passport card?
BVI C&I love to stamp passports and might be disappointed if you gave them a card.

Have done it last few times with no problems. Its what the card was made for. Boat into the Caribbean or drive, boat or walk into Mexico and Canada.

I also have GOES card for quick customs check and TSA Pre-Check. Best $100 I have spent for a 5 year card.

Yes that’s what I thought.
But when you said as long as you don’t fly
Into Beef Island I assumed they wouldn’t accept it.

You're correct. The BVI C&I love the rubber stamp and to write in the return date, and won't know where to place the white departure card. That's my concern.

I said that because the card is not authorized if your flying. You need an actual Passport if you ever fly to another country. Soon you will need a Passport to even fly domestic in the USA until you get the new Federally approved Driver's License when they are available in each state.

Supposedly the the new drivers license will have the same info as a passport card
Well this is actually a bit insane that the government (which are a Globalist minority but control your money wants total control of its
citizens.

This article gives a good explanation of each state’s DL compliance with the Real ID Act, which was passed in 2005, for domestic air travel. It looks like currently non-compliant states have until 2020, assuming no additional extensions, to upgrade their DLs.
