I never post a trip report, but this vacation was one to die for. Flew out of PVD on Sat. Jan. 18 to JFK. Had proplems in New York which put us 4 hours behind in getting to SXM. The first day of travel is usually dedicated to travel anyway. We arrived in Saint Martin just fine. Did our usual of stocking up groceries and onto L'Hoste. Stayed at the L'Hoste until Monday. We closed on the studeo apartment we purchased in Nettle Bay Beach Club on Monday and moved there for the next 2 weeks. I can see already it is going to be a trip dealing with the French. Good thing Paulette is French and can understand most things. We hung out at Orient Beach daily and ate out or cooked in most nights. Thursday we ran into Contessa and Sword and LeeLee and Tom at Bananas. They had just arrived. We hung out with them on Orient Beach daily and the group just kept growiing. Went to Dicky's TTOL party on Tue. at Hot Tomatoes. Met Brad (manager) and Samantha (waitress) there. Great food Brad. Good party Dicky. We extended out stay for two days to go to one of the highlights of our vacation. We went to Melcom & Jackie's (from London) wedding at a villa in Green Cay. The wedding was supposed to be a nude wedding. The wedding was semi-nude and reception was alot less. Had a pool and was great fun. It was catered by Marius and family and what a feast they put on. Sunday night Contessa and LeeLee put on a TTOL party at Alizea and what a turnout. They had around 65 people and lots of food. Great job Contessa and LeeLee. They sure know how to party or Pahty as Contessa says. We met so many nice people on the beach and throughout the two and half weeks stay like Contessa and Sword,LeeLee and Big Tom, Doug and Lee, Nancy and John, Cindy and Dave, Duncan and Kathy, John and Dottie(went to there house on the mountain top, what a trip up there), John and Lillian, Terri and Mario, Bill and Irene, Andy and Susan, Carol and Frank, Rich and Kathy, Jackie and Malcom(wedding couple), Sarah and Nygel, Harris and Arlene, Jack(Mr. St. Martin), Pat, Art and Joan, Bule and Don, Dicky, Tony, Brad, and others. Return flight was also messed up , so we flew to San Juan, Boston and took the bus back to Providence and now we are shoveling snow. Yuk. Wonderful vacation. Clem and Paulette
