Found this on the St John Life blog

http://seestjohn.com/st_john_life/

The blog post was in March. Any updates to the situation?

Wow. St John and in particular the beach at Caneel Bay Plantation, used to be my favorite place in the world before I found St Martin. I have been so focused elsewhere I had no idea until today that CBP had been damaged and had these issues.

I guess after all these years, id rather see CBP revert back to its natural state and a public, national park beach rather than be a place for Robin Leach and his friends at $700/night.

We've stayed there on several occasions and for far less than that.

So did we. Summer was our favorite time to go when the deals were offered.

I am anxious for more information.

Cleanup started yesterday at Caneel Bay. A photo was posted on Facebook yesterday by Caneel Bay Resort of Director of Operations Chad Prentice welcoming St John contractor B & C Transport LLC to the resort to start the cleanup.
