Are there any boats who would do 1/2 week charters? We are 2 couples on a tight budget.

Captain's Compass has great prices. A full week could easily be in your budget. His Leopard cats survived Irma with mostly only needing new masts (which have been replaced). Our Leopard 42, Island Fun is one of his fleet. Besides a new mast, Brent has varnished the interior wood, added solar panels and redone the galley cushions. Water did not get into the galley, cabins or engines and she runs great. Island Fun like a brand new boat but at a great price. Contact Brent at Captain's Compass. He'll give you an update on his entire fleet.

Companies don't do short charters as the cost and time to turn the boat around is the same as a long charter and the revenue is much less. An owner might actually lose money on the charter. Just an ROUGH idea of costs, these are not solid numbers, From charter fee, you subtract about 15% for brokerage and owner and company then split revenue about 70/30. Owner pays a turn around fee of about $150/cabin plus sometimes a starter kit costs.

I know Joe from Patouche Charters is bring down an 80'+ motor cruiser and will be doing fantastic deals around the $7/$8k for 6 people for a week and its his own boat so might do shorter charters.
