Well got the message you are not receivng PM's so what exactly do you want to know about DIVI?
Beautiful Beach Need a rental car because it's a bit secluded. Located next to Belair which has a good restaurant Gingerbread Cafe. Personally we don't care for the food at Divi, especially with so many great restaurants around and we feel the AI charge is too high. 3 swimming pools, Infinity pool, waterfall pool, large pool that Divi was planning to add a swim-up bar to---don't know if it's completed yet. Haven't been there since hurricane Irma but before that they had a small grocery store, 3 or 4 restaurants, bars, a stirp of stores for shopping, jewelry, clothing etc. exercise room, wifi, beach towels but no reserved beach chairs first come first serve. They have regular hotel rooms facing beach, casitas off the beach behind the large pool, duplexes that face Great Bay and cruise ship docks. There's a fort on the hill's property---a must visit for photos. But it's a climb. Manager's cocktail party, Programs for children. Daily programs for adults, like bingo, pool exercise, crab races. I heard they got rid of the tennis courts to make more parking spaces. Guarded entry---don't lose your pass or it's a hefty charge upon checkout.
There's more but that all that comes to mind at the moment.

You mentioned $10.50 per night gov. tax. There are other charges but I can't remember them all. One was an electric charge per day. Or maybe it was a weekly electric charge of $50. The $50.00 weekly fee is the Dutchside timeshare tax Imposed to make up for the monies charged in taxes at hotels and without the fee, otherwise lost to the government coffers if not charged. If you stay at a timeshare but as a hotel guest you shouldn’t be charged the $50.00 weekly tax but they will charge the hotel room rate instead. And I’m not certain but there was talk a few years ago about the weekly timeshare tax increasing but as of April 2017, the last time we stayed at our timeshare, they were still charging the $50.00 per week.
Respectfully,
pat

RonDon's response was pretty complete. I own three weeks at Divi and was there in June. At that time, there were still a few buildings that needed renovation from Irma, but about 65% of the resort was up and running. I think everything is complete now except, perhaps, for the casita pool with swim-up bar. Staff work very hard to keep Divi looking great, and it does.
Divi's beach is in my Top Five on the island; the other four are on the french side. Normally you just walk into the water with no drop-off, and it's very gentle there. The grocery store crams a whole bunch of stuff into a small space, but you can get essentials there, for a price, of course. At the time I was there, food was being served only at Seabreeze Pool, but I think the other restaurants are now up and running, or at least will be by the time of your stay. I do agree with RonDon, however, that there is much better food to be had elsewhere on the island.
My recollection is that the only charges are the weekly $50 timeshare tax and a $10.50 daily resort charge.
My preference is a room facing Little Bay as that's also where the beach is. But some like the view of Great Bay, which is where the cruise ships dock.
If you have more questions, please be specific as to what you need to know. Staying there is wonderful!

The food at Gizmo's was very good with yummy specials and a great beach front location however the main restaurant is still closed.

Most, if not all, units have washer/dryer. Not true. Studios don't have W/D. And I think there are some one-bedroom units that also don't have W/D.

Out of curiosity Jazzgal, what are the other four beaches on your favorite list? So as to not hijack this thread, I will start another one to answer your question.
