Hi Everybody!
Newbie here. Looking for advice. I'm chartering a boat out of Hodge's Creek Marina, and wanted to stay the night on land before. Is there a good hotel you'd recommend which is walking distance to the marina?
Thanks!

Sleep aboard if possible.

I'd like to be a jelly fish, cause jelly fish don't pay rent.

I can't sleep aboard. I arrive the night before the charter is available. No hotel recommendations?

Never stayed there, but Hodge's Creek Marina looks nice. treasureislehotelbvi.com

The hotel in Hodges Creek is not open. I would stay at Maria’s By The Sea and taxi over the next day.

I would stay at Rhymers on Cane Garden Bay and have a nice beachfront evening..cab over next day.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to be in walking distance to the docks. There's nowhere to stay in the Marina anymore?

Nothing in the marina and nothing within walking distance.

As you are going to cab anyway I really suggest staying on a beautiful beach. Rhymer's is basic, reasonable and they do a really good breakfast!

When is the Sugar Mill supposed to open? That would be a bit more upscale, if the OP likes that.

The beautiful new beach bar is now open for great lunch and dinner..work is going on with the villas and guests start arriving, per Dennis this morning, in 10 days. They have been renting some fixed villas on a month by month til now.

What charter company are you with? I just heard Navigare is moving to Village Cay.

Without the Trellis Bay Guest House and Tamarind closed there isn't much one or two night accomodation on that end of Tortola.

A couple of years ago we chartered from Dream Yacht Charters and there was a small hotel right at the base. The rooms were nice, pool and restaurant right there. Not sure that it has opened since the hurricane. Here is the email address I used in 2016.

Another idea would be Scrub. If you’re flying into EIS, you are a short (free) ferry away. If you have lots of Marriott points that works even better.

Thanks! This would be the easiest option. I'll give that email address a shot. Much appreciated!

We were there in June and the marina (and hotel) were destroyed and lots of debris all over and boats still on shore. I asked one of the crew from Dream Yacht Charters why the marina wasn't being repaired and he said that the owner of the marina is still waiting on an insurance settlement.

I see...that's horrible. I hope they get back on their feet soon. Thanks for the info. Extremely helpful.
