Day 6

After a hard rain last night or so I was told( I seemed to sleep right through), the pool had a bit more water in it and the stairs and deck were wet when I went up to get the coffee brewing.

Once again, no set plan today so we would decide over breakfast! So many places to go and now our days were limited to two. What to do? Lameshur, Waterlemon, or Cinnamon?
After I prepared big stacks of banana pancakes, we decided on Cinnamon Bay. Cinnamon offered a wide variety of activities and every time we’ve been there before it’s been jammed packed, so we were looking forward to few people.

Jeep was still packed from the day before, so only our two coolers needed preparing, along with sandwiches and wraps. And a special treat for the day, Sprite Zero and Cruzan Guava, one of our new favorites that would be served up in Solo cups. Off we go, really looking like the clearest day we've had all week. We get a parking spot up front and make the walk down to the beach. Looks like they have extended the sidewalk since last year. Nice for the rolling coolers! We did check out the campgrounds as well.

We get to the water and head west toward the empty beach that lay before us.
Find a great spot with shade and close to the water's edge, actually almost the same spot we have stopped in on previous visits.

We had been talking all week about trying a Stand Up Paddle board. Today was the day.
Parker and I went over and met Kendall and Micki at the rental shack. Kendall has some great local knowledge of when and where to kayak and SUP around STJ, if you want to see areas other than just staying in the Cinnamon Bay area. You can rent from him and take your board anywhere.

Parker and I both got a board. Different sizes for different size people. Kendall told Parker to go get in the water for 5 minutes and clear her mind before the 15 minute SUP lesson. Off we go to tell the others of our plans. Evidently they wanted to SUP also, because Jen and L.B. followed us back down the beach and watched the lesson as well. Kendall gave good tips and made it seem easy?
After the lesson we were ready to go. We had never done this before and evidently Kendall was worried the old people may experience difficulties at first. I thought Parker and L.B. would pick it up quickly though, since they both surf already. Actually it wasn't all that hard, pretty good work out for the core, especially when heading into the wind.

Parker up quickly

On the beach afterward, still not a lot of people today. Hmmmm, I think I like Hurricane Season in the Virgin Islands.

Usually get one landscape photo with beverage of the day! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Watched the closest thing to a sunset tonight then into town for dinner at Rhumb lines. Probably my favorite restaurant on STJ. The atmosphere is great and food is outstanding.

Stargazing back at the villa, saw at least three shooting stars on this night. Loved the clear sky and being able to see the Milky Way in full view directly over the villa. There is a great app for identifying all the constellations called Planets.

Nothing planned.....please help!
