Always seems like finding a place to stay is the hardest part of planning a vacation. Finding the right place can really enhance one's vacation experience. I always enjoy reading about places that people have visited and fell in love with. Places that really enhanced their vacation experience. Not necessarily the well known places that are often mentioned here on the forum(but those are ok too), but maybe a less known place that you have discovered through word of mouth or endless internet searches. We typically stay 3-4 nights in Simpson Bay, and then 3-4 nights in Orient Village. Our 'special find' would have to be Club Fantastico. We have stayed there on our last couple visits and have really enjoyed everything about it. From the homey atmosphere that Chloe and Thierry provide, to the beautiful view of Orient Bay. The outdoor showers, the pool, and the c/o ambiance make for a wonderful vacation spot. The only thing it lacks for us, is the night life that Simpson Bay offers. That's why we split our stay between the two. Would love to find a place in Simpson Bay that had a private pool or hot tub that was private enough to be able to enjoy sans clothing. How about you guys? Any places on the island that you have found and fell in love with? Please feel free to share. I look forward to reading your posts.

Not what you're looking for, but finding a place to stay is the easiest part of planning our vacation in St. Maarten. We own three weeks at La Vista Beach, and love that we always know where we're staying and what to expect. Happy to be returning there two weeks from today.

Thats the way we feel owning 4 weeks at Flamingo. Just waiting for construction to be done. In the mean time we are renting a villa right next door to La Vista called logans run.

We've stayed at SBBR (Pelican), Flamingo, Royal Palm, La Vista Beach, Beachside Villas, Club O, Les Balcons, as well as a private condo in Pelican Key. As you can tell, we enjoy trying out different places rather than continually going back to the same place year after year. With that being said, our overall favorites remain La Vista Beach and BSV. There's just something about the laid back ambiance and the staff in both places that keep us coming back.
