Awoke to early morning clouds, finished up breakfast grocery shopping at Phillipsburg Grand Marche. Purchased real nice bech chair for the wife at nearby ACE. Lite lunch at Rosie's on Mullet beach. Ribs and chicken both have great flavor. Wedding reception for 50 people alittle latter on the day catered by Rosie. Still tired from traveling, chilled out by R.I. LaPlage pool. Turns into a beautiful day. Travel alittle congested from Maho upto Grand Case going through Cole Bay. Sometimes I think it's quicker going the lowlands route. Alot of people hanging out on the streets just before you hit Grand Case Blvd. Sunday night seems to be party night and they make you feel abit uneasy as you pass. We have never had a problem but never know. One younger kid tossed a small nut or something on the top of our car, we just kept going. More than the usual number of reataurants closed. Very little foot traffic. Found parking on the street near La Villa. Florence greeted us at the door and mentioned she was just returning from her holiday and that Christophe would be back next week. Started out with complimentary champange and a shot of fennel soup for an amuse-bouche. Did the $49 prix-fix and 1-1. Seared scallops with cauliflower puree and mahi-mahi tar-tare for starters. Rare tuna and mahi with mussels for the main plates. Custard sampler nad peach tartin for dessert. A Samur-champigny (cab-franc, loire valley0 was enjoyed with the meal. After dinner was completed with shots of infused rums, bannana and creamy coconut. I love that they just leave the bottles on the table. Service was excellent and truthfully think that the food at La Villa has gotten better eventhough they have the same chef. Will probably have a return visit next week since there are several things we would have liked to try and missed seeing Christophe. Quick 25 minutes ride home with noproblems or traffic
