No problems, MIA outside/curbside check for bagggage on AA. New terminal in MIA for AA is really nice.
Left a little late, but made up all but 5 minutes on the way down. No other planes ahead of us and we were in and out really fast. Landed at 2:05 and cleared immigration, got luggage, got rental car, got to BSV to drop off everything and back in the car to GM at 3:12 when we were driving by the airport again!!! All is good!!
Of course we had the love note from the TSA in one (1) of our checked luggage when we were unpacking, seems about every other trip we get the love note! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> Not sure what it is that is tripping it, maybe the salsa!!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />
More to come. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />
Construction at the road is going to be a challenge it seems for a while. When we left we hit the backup at the turn to Hollywood. Seemed to move ok, but on the way back the end of the line was almost to the end of the runway -- at the Gourmet GM, but that was "rush hour" also. Once things get done then it will probably be back to normal or maybe better, depends on what they do with that short streach of road. The backup seems to be worse from the airport side than the hill/marigot side as it was moving. It seems that the people are turning and backing in and out around that bend is the problem, that was eliminated with the one way, but right now it is back, also you have people making a left from the airport side to take the shortcut/housing/whatever before the texico station that jams things up. Once you get past that part, things where moving really well. Will see how it moves as the week goes on.
