The article says Republic Financial Holdings from Trinidad and Tobago not Bank of America. BofA is awful by the way. A lot of people who bank with Bank Of America take advantage of an agreement between BoA and Scotiabank where they are able to use Scotiabank ATMs with no fees.

This is huge for us. We have NO FEES accessing our BOA account via Scotiabank ATM's which is what wislonck is talking about. Not sure what we will do.

Scotia Bank is not selling their Canadian locations. Only selling off their Caribbean locations. Yes, my post was obviously not clear enough. Yes, it is only some of the Scotiabank Caribbean operations that are being sold to Republic; nothing in Canada is affected. However, for those Canadians who bank with Scotiabank at home, this will be an inconvenience when visiting the affected Caribbean islands, including St Maarten.
