One of our favorite beaches at SXM is Plumb Bay. I have not seen any comments about it's condition post Irma. After a year off (Barbados), the lure of St. Martin pulls us back. Question is........how is Plumb Bay in terms of sand, rocks etc.

We’ll be going back to Plum Bay this February and wondering ourselves what the condition is. The beach before Irma was in good shape, but if you remember, the water was filled with rocks as you entered it. Maybe Irma gave us more sand and covered the rocks back up. It’s always been one of our favorite beaches. Let’s hope in in good shape for the coming season.

We were on Plum Bay earlier in December. We entered the water on the right side (facing the ocean). I rate the beach the same as before the storms. The rocks are still there. For beach days we rate Long Bay and Baie Rouge as much better on that side of the island. Plum Bay does offer an outstanding sunset. Sitting on one of the rocks with a bottle of wine at sunset can't be overrated!
