You'll be fine with an early start but time underway depends on your boat and wind and sea conditions. The last time we did it, we had 30kts on the nose and steep seas in the channel. Our underpowered 40' cat managed about 2.5kts from Steele Pt. to the harbor. I agree. Last May it took us 3.5 hours from Great Harbor to Road Town in a 38 mono. Winds were 25kts straight down the channel. SOG was maybe 3.5.
