I know beer should get some discussion going.
Ill drink anything in moderation and Carib and Miller Lite to heavy moderation.
Actually, ive learned my liver blinks the max beer light with Carib at somepoint in the SXM trip.
So, ive had plenty of Carib but was fortunate to have some miller lite cand courtesy of shop n drop.
It goes down easy. Well we burned through that quickly. Hard to find on island especially in cans.
Who doesnt have miller light: maho market, super U, leader price, petit casino, carrefour.
Who has it bottles only: mqrket garden $1.50 each 12 oz.
Only cans i found: cost u less, 12 pack of 12 oz cans $9.03.
Leader price has a german hofbrauhaus beer brewed u der license in France called konigsbacher. Each 16ozish can is .59E. Very drinkable ala miller light.

Why would anybody want to drink Miller Lite when so many other good beers are out there. Same can be said about Coors Lite. Especially out of a can.

why, well because so many of those “other good beers” really dont come in a can, they are on draught. The ones that do like Guiness Draught,i cant drink em all day because they are not beach beers. As for heinycan, im not a heinyfan.

I personally know several locals that choose Coors Light when having a beer. Just because it is not your choice or preference does not make it wrong. BTW, the word "Lite" is associated with the brand Miller Lite and not Coors Light.

If you must have those beers at least drink them out of a bottle and not a can. Bottled beer is much better than canned beer and even sodas.

Best not to have glass at the pool or on the beach.

Correct. I take bottles all the time but pour it in my Yeti by the pool or beach. Disposing of the bottle in a trash bin or taking it home with me.

People say that but ice cold glass is best with ice cold beer poured in it. Indont like to suck my beer through the bottle neck.
Wide mouth 16 oz miller lite, 33 degrees is ultimate.

Never had to "suck" it through a bottle neck. It just pours right through to my waiting lips. Cold Carib or Presidente. My go to ST Maarten beer.

Scuba,
Konigsbacher (hofbrauhaus pilsner) brewed under license in France was main thing I was pointing out at .59E for 16oz.
Unfortunately I muddied this find with my passion for miller lite in a can.
The 12 oz can at leader price is only .5E eqch. My be the german like natural light of France

OK. Not for me. I'll stick to the bottled Carib or Presidente while on island.

i pretty much only drink light beer, preferably Miller Lite...we were just in Barbados for the holidays, and i actually carried a couple of cases of ML down with me, since i knew light beer is practically non-existent down there...the only light beer i found anywhere was Stag Light ("a Man's Beer!", same Trini brewery as Carib)....Banks and Carib were plentiful, but i can't stand the stuff hopefully ML will be stocked up in SXM when we return in December

Beer like MANY other things are totally a taste preference and I would never critique anyone for preferring a brand that I think is more like agua (ML, BL ). My son loves microbrewed double IPA's which I cannot stand but HE likes them and that's fine I am a Blue Moon/ Jack's Abbey Lager person but definitely switch to Carib/Corona when in a warm environment...
