Good evening! Sorry but I couldn't find the search function to find possible previous posts. We are looking to go on a catamaran or sailing trip in the BVI's in late January/first week in February 2020 prior to our 3 week trip to St. Martin. I cant figure out how to find a trip where we can just book a cabin without chartering the whole boat. Does such a thing exist or do you know where we could find something like that? We've looked into the Windjammer boats and may do that but we were looking for something a little smaller. TIA!

Check out Dream Yacht Charters. They do BVI cabin charters. They also have one to the BVI's that begins and ends on St. Martin. Though they currently only list that through November, they may have it next year too. I have friends who booked the St. Martin to BVI cruise in 2017 that loved it.

Below is the URL to the St. Martin/BVI charter.

You might want to look at Festiva too. We have some friends that went with them 2x's and really liked it.

Love the title "Catamaran or sailboat charter".

That's my opinion as well - catamarans are not sail boats.

The fuse is lit... let the fun begin!

Agrimsrud, Sure cats are sailboats. Try one, you will see. Perhaps you will join us on our lagoon 450, scuba Doo.

Oops. I read nc sailor's (nc) post and hit respond prematurely. I'm not sure why nc can't understand there really is a difference between a cat and a monohull. I've done both. They they each have their pros and cons depending on where and with whom you're sailing. Calling someone an idiot for preferring one over the other speaks volumes.

I have owned monohulls and will be on a 4500 cat starting this Saturday. I didn't call anyone an idiot. I said the comment was idiot. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

No one said there wasn't a difference. I believe what was said was that a cat isn't a sailboat. I beg to differ.
