Day 3 - Pretty quiet day. Croissants from Bread n Butter. A chocolate for Betty, an apricot for me. Sun time at the OBBR pool, then a Chicken Caesar Salad($17.) in Infinity Bar. Afternoon nap for "old people" who stay out too late and drink too much. Evening activities started with a visit to St Maarten Yacht Club Bar and Restaurant. Missed the bridge opening. Lots of people and great band playing with Ronnie Santana. Had our first of trip "Grouper Fingers"($11.). Presented Owner Brian with a "SXM Strong" plate. Also there were Bill and Elaine, Tania and Michael, Mary Beth and her Bobby Baron(not singing). Tried Ultimate Sports Casino down the street but it was paying off either. Consolation prize was ice cream cones at The Carousel. They have new ice cream cones decorating the entrance. In bed by 10. Boring being old.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

Enjoying your reports. We tend to shy away from the Yacht because of the parking. Where can you park if their small lot is full?

Norm, thanks for your reports, always enjoy them. My wife and I will be at OBBR IN 13 days - bringing six friends. Three questions: first - does OBBR look as good in real life as it does in photos? It looks like the have done an excellent job with the rebuild. #2 - What is current condition of Dawn Beach? And finally- any chance you can get an update on timing of Big Fish opening. Thanks- enjoy your trip!👍🏻

Dawn Beach is ok. Lots of seaweed at this time. All rooms are almost completely redone. Maybe another week or so. Work is going on at Big Fish but haven't heard and open date yet. And OBBR is in great shape. They have done a wonderful job of repairing and improving it.

We actually parked across the bridge at the Fisherman Market shops.
