Parking lot under Terrasse is for RI guests only. The one by Sonesta is closed. Parking in the area is difficult to say the least day or night, whereas three months ago you could park on the street!.

Elaine, in the past I have parked in the garage when going to the Maho Market....is that no longer possible?

Elaine is correct that the parking garage is currently available only for La Plage guests. The reason is that as of last week about half of the parking spaces in the garage cannot be used for parking because they are filled with furniture and building equipment. Last week they were actively moving a lot of that material upstairs to the rooms to open La Terrasse in a couple of weeks. I suspect general parking will be available soon when all of the furniture and building equipment is moved upstairs.

We tried to use this area in November and were turned away. We found it easier to run up to PC since they have plenty of parking.

Just got back. Public parking garage closed. Found a spot on the street, but not easy. Probably would pull into casino and let them valet park if they are still doing so (don't know).

I think Pat meant it was easier to shop at Porto Cupecoy then try to find a space in Maho??

Hi, Elaine,

I was responding to Leona regarding picking up groceries at the Maho grocery store.
PC - Porto Cupecoy.
Hope all is good with you and Bill.

Sorry, totally missed that! As for the Maho Market, it's the same. Since there is security there to stop people "parking" who are not going into the store, you can park if there's a spot. I agree, both Carrefour shops in Cupecoy are better than that market, but perhaps not as convenient as Maho.

On my original post I meant parking at night in order to go, for example, to the piano bar. How did it morph into grocery shopping at Cupecoy?

It happens. I was going to suggest being more specific but it would probably still happen........ handshake handshake

Unfortunately, that's the way things happen here sometimes! crazy I think that Elaine has answered it pretty well though. Parking in Maho right now is pretty darn difficult. Can't park in the garages and you just have to try to find someplace on the street!
