My wife and I received tickets to St Martin as a gift. Our trip is March 6 to March 13, 2019. It is short notice and I'm trying to find a rental inexpensive. Looking for a quiet area but safe. Can anyone recommend someone that I should contact. I need a place Non Smoking due to her allergy. Thanks in advance.

Check out Mon Reve on the French side going to Friar's Bay. Doesn't get more inexpensive than this. Mon Reve

Looking for a place on the beach? Mary Boon's Resort on Simpson Bay is also very nice and reasonably priced. Plus, it's within walking distance of a lot of places and close to the airport. I believe it's non-smoking, but I'm not certain.

I agree with Sammy for Mary's Boon.
If high end was my choice it would be a studio at Grand Case Beach Club (3 night minimum)
Or on Dutch side Divi Little Bay has studios, Casittas and 1, 2 bedrooms as well as plain old beachfront hotel rooms.

I see there are many Studios on Cul de Sac area. Is that a good area to stay?

Given the latest of the hour you may be wise to check out TripAdvisor.com or Hotels.com to see what's available and still matches the criteria you are looking for. Cul-de-Sac is a nice enough area, but we prefer staying on the Dutch side. Keep in mind when you book a place on the French side it's smart to ask if they have power adapters for your electronic devices. The French use a different electrical system. You'll need one to plug in your cell phone charger, wife's curling iron, etc. Don't assume these are ready and waiting for you. (P.S. -- You can always buy your own at Staples for something like $20. That way you always have one with you.).

Hi Chacrinha ... I tried to put myself in your shoes and find a hotel for you three weeks away. I came up with three places that I would consider, but you might be better off with an Airbnb at this juncture. The Atrium Beach Hotel in Simpson Bay was showing vacancy for your week, and Priceline had it $245/per night plus tax. Not inexpensive, but a very nice place with free parking and plenty of places to walk to including some of the best restaurants on the island. I suppose that would be my first choice. The Villas on Simpson Bay is in the same general area and also appeared to have vacancy, but it was showing up at $260/per night. That's another $110 more for the week, so I would try the Atrium ahead of them. If those are both too pricey, there's the Horizon Beach Hotel in Philipsburg right on the boardwalk at Great Bay Beach. Now, it doesn't look like much from the outside (especially with Holland House almost next door), but I've actually been through it and it's pretty good. It was showing up at $180 per night with a deal they were running, but I do think you'll either have no parking here or you'll have to pay daily rate for parking. Might want to check that out. I wish you well!

You may want to try Island Escape SXM. We have been working with Magali for almost 20 years now. She has some new places that were just listed a few days ago. Maybe able to find something with her. All of her places are on the French side of the island. Good luck with your search.
