Well, that's sad, if true. It will be just another place then. What made Calmos was the sunsets on the beach.

Well, that's sad, if true. It will be just another place then. What made Calmos was the sunsets on the beach. I totally agree Carol....and the sand in the toes! I totally agree with both sentiments. They might maintain the name but it was the setting and the comraderie of the folks in this setting that made the place so very special to many of us. I get the reason for the change of location but doubt it could possibly be the same vibe there.... maybe as good but totally different I suspect.

pat--honestly, the food wasn't that memorable, to me, not at all. It was the setting..

I am sure another business will take over that location as it has a lot to offer. Time will tell I guess as there has been lots of changes all over the island since Irma.

Apparently it is very difficult to work with the government, especially there in Grand Case. Otherwise, there would be a LOT more restaurants open on the water side. It is a d*mn shame, what the government is doing there, or NOT doing..

I don't know what the whole story is, but it is total BS to me, that there are no more restaurants open on the water side. GCBC restaurant is affiliated with a hotel, so that may make some difference there, but there has to be something going on, as you can't tell me that almost every restaurant on the water can't reopen, as of now.
