We have really enjoyed the conversation on this forum and wanted to get some opinions as we finalize our trip route. We are heading to the BVI in a few weeks and debating about the best route, including 2 days in Anegada. Typically most charter companies recommend a counter clockwise route and therefore heading from the North Sound to Anegada and then Anegada to Jost (which we have followed in several trips in the past). This year our route would be clockwise and heading to Anegada from Jost (of course this is weather and sea dependent). Since we will be on a power Catamaran, and not a sailboat, I would like other opinions on heading to Anegada from Jost vs the North Sound. Thanks in advance Mark
Depending on the wind direction you may be heading into a chop from JVD to Anegada. Other than that on a power cat no real difference. The mooring field at Setting Point has been crowded this year. If you plan to pick up a ball you will need an early start and plan to arrive before noon or earlier.
