OK, thanks. I didn't think of that as at the Yacht Club, but maybe I'm not remembering where Saratoga was correctly.

Where is it specifically? Perhaps in that restaurant which has had many different iterations, basically behind Zee Best? They are in the front of where Zee Best and Jimbo's are. Up front near the pharmacy.

I believe that Le Pressoir has reopened under new management and chef. I think Spiga now owns it. Probably much different than in the past. No the new owner is the owner of Yellow Sub and Sol e Luna

Frenchy Ludo's has been getting rave reviews from friends. We had a group go there last night. Had to move inside due the the sewage smell of the lagoon. Once inside I thought is smelled of mold and mildew and was rather warm as the a/c was not keeping, which meant cracking a window to get more sewage smell. Filet mignon I had was inedible and the others that had it did not enjoy it either. Some may have enjoyed their meal but that was the poorest excuse for a filet I have ever had. Very disappointed and I would not even consider returning.

Went back another evening to change rsvp and again noted nothing. Perhaps I wasn’t there long enough. Maybe some boated let his sewage out the night you were there? Well, can only hope Chocolate Watt’s music will be good. I’ll give my two cents about the place tomorrow.

Wonder if the poor meal I had was with the past owners. Sole e Luna sold a few years ago. The people who bought it have now bought Le Pressoir, Temps de Cirises in Grand Case and l’Oasis near Oyster pond. Ocean 82 also owns Enjoy in Marina Royal. Altro has been bought by the people who also own La Main et le Pate in Marino Royal. Ps we did not think Altro was as good as before it sold.

Others in my group went to Jax prior to my arrival and enjoyed it. I know at least one had a filet and said it was good. They also said they enjoyed Emilio's filet and indicated they thought Emilio's was their best overall dining experience on the island.
It is tough to mess up a filet and I would think most restaurants would use portion controlled center cut, cryovac sealed and precut CAB, Choice or Prime meat. The filet at Frenchy Ludo was cut from the large end, not trimmed of the silverskin or other connective tissue and in no way was close to a center cut and had no seasoning or flavor.
The Mailbox has a freezer/cooler near the entry door that had boxes and boxes of filet mignon. Not sure of they were for sale, for restaurants to pick up that had ordered them or what but I know the availability of a good filet should not be a problem. I saw a cart of US processed cryovac sealed tenderloins being checked in at Carrefour the other morning.
