Sitting on porch at BSV and a wedding is taking place on the beach in front of one of the lower numbered units.
Both bride and groom are wearing white. How romantic.

We were in Barbados one year and got to see a very formal sunset wedding overlooking the cliffs and the beach below us and we didn’t have to leave our balcony. We were so close we could hear the pastor and even the trembling voice of the blushing bride as she stated her vows. It was so beautiful........ lucky you, Rosemary.

We chose to get married on Anguilla vs. St Maarten so we would not have to pay extra to have the wedding license translated!!
St Maarten issues things in Dutch.
But a beach wedding was the most wonderful thing ever. And yes, we ended up having observers (much like you Ro) seeing our beach wedding and taking pictures.

It was posted on another site as a vow renewal at Beachside Villas . She looked lovely I in her long white gown blowing in the breeze. The was a guitarist playing but with the breeze blowing we couldn’t hear.

Keep in mind for a wedding in St Maarten you'll need both a civil and a religious service if not already married. Our daughter was married in St Maarten in 2000 on Cupecoy beach and we renewed our vows at the same place 9 years ago on our 40th. Next year we are both going back in July to celebrate their 20th and our 50th on island after our annual May trip.
