Drove through that area last month, and it looked really dry to me. I figured that was vegetation that never bounced back from Irma, so I suppose a brush fire could hit hard in such conditions. Hope they got this contained and there are no injuries. It's the last thing these people need in that area.

We are in drought conditions, nothing to do with Irma. We have had little to no rain for quite some time and there have been quite a few fires in recent days. Not in Hope Estate but the hill across the road
