Once again we woke up to a beautiful "words can't describe it" sunrise. With images of the Church of the Nazareth still fresh in my head I couldn't help but come to the realization that there is a God or at least in the words of a man we met on Cinnamon Bay last summer "one Universal Being", our nickname for him was "Cosmos".

We were all extremely pumped up for our day on the water with Truman of www.FLYAWAYCHARTERS.com While everyone got ready I anxiously looked towards the skies wondering if the weather would cooperate. Everything looked fairly clear and the channel looked relatively flat from our distant vantage point.

With the Jeep all loaded we proceeded down the mountain to the dinghy dock behind Skinny Legs. Look at the sky in this picture....every morning has greeted us with blue skies, but noooo... OVERCAST SKIES on our boat day! look at the cloud cover! &$*$@&#%(%()

[Linked Image]

Forget the weather .....Truman was right on time and his powercat "Oh Be Joyful" was ready to go. After a bunch of "how ya been" and " what's new" talk Truman navigated out of Coral Bay enroute to Jost Van Dyke. I didn't mess with the camera underway because of the dang cloud cover. The ride around the point outside of Coral Bay is always a little choppy, but after that it was smooth motoring across the channel to Jost.

As usual Truman says I'll check you all in at customs and I'll come find you! Feels good to be here! I don't care how many times we've been, we always take a picture in front of the sign!

The ladies immediately bee lined through town towards Foxy's to see what's new in island fashion.

[Linked Image]

I already have enough t-shirts, so I checked out the cigar case. Actually come to think of it, I only smoked one not so great cigar on this trip. Here's Foxy's humidor if you're curious, slim pick'ins if you ask me.

[Linked Image]

Foxy was nowhere to be found this early morning and the place was empty. Truman had no problem tracking us down. I said how's a bloody mary sound, he said great let's hit Corsairs. Uncle Vinny makes a fine bloody mary!

Funny thing, my wife was sitting in the old captains chair at the end of the bar and a large chicken kept dancing around her feet. A waitress asked if my wife wouldn't mind standing up for a second, when she did the chicken used the chair to access its perch up high on a shelf.
After a short visit with Vinny and the chicken we mozied back to the dock.

Next stop White Bay! After Truman snugged us up to the beach we made our way to the Soggy Dollar. The bar stools were empty so we made ourselves at home. As I sat with a cold Presidente in hand I toasted a couple people I have never met before, first here's to Captain Bob who was very fond of White Bay, your son will be down soon to visit! and of course I raised a glass to Big Jim!

This is my wife's favorite drink'in hole, but I always drag her away to visit One Love. Here's the perfect Christmas Card photo..

After a couple of hours of FUN it was time to head back to Oh Be Joyful.

Did I mention that the Soggy Dollar is my wife's favorite drink'in hole? count the cups!...one might be mine

NOTHING better than a good ol belly laugh over something silly, wish I could remember what was so funny!

5 years ago Truman used a photo of our daughter jumping off his boat for a newspaper advertisement. She loved seeing herself in the local papers. He wanted us to try to capture it again for another ad, here she is!

and don't forget momma!

For us, a trip to Jost is not complete without a pit stop at Sydney's Peace and Love. Our daughters name is Sydney and she has fond memories of Sydney or is it Sidney? he always said it could be spelled either way. She likes the way it's spelled on the bar in this photo....

Next stop Norman Island. It's always a quick ride over on Truman's Glacier Bays. As we approached Norman this little boat stood out...anybody have info on it?

As we pulled up to the Willy T @ 3pm we commented on how few people were there, maybe 10? HOLD ON, spoke to soon, here comes the Bad Kitty loaded with a bunch of 20 somethings ready to party! They were a lot of fun to watch, a couple good dancers in the group and a few horrible drunk dancers as well, drunk dancers are great entertainment! The burgers, mahi sandwiches and fries were awesome as usual. Of course the girls wanted to jump off the top....

and then party momma made a splash too!

Soon it was time to head back to St John, but first a quick snorkel into the caves. (20 photo limit already reached sorry) All I can say is GOOD TIMES!

To be continued.........

Beerman,
Upon returning to St. John does he take you to Cruz Bay for customs and then back out to Coral Bay?

Nice reports.
Thanks,
Chip

Chip, he can take you by Cruz Bay on the way back or you can drive down first thing the following morning to check in.

I like the chicken story! Great photos as usual. I especially like the sunrise shot.
