Spoilt where we are.. 2 minutes to 2 beaches. Decided to visit Baie Longue, not been there for 3 years and seeing some of the extraordinary Villas on the beach. One place their wall was about 150 yards long, that’s yards not feet..called Casa Playa with Turtles Nest and C’est la Via next door. Actually saw this latter Villa a few years ago but at $4700 per night and that’s out of season, think I will pass. I don’t mind paying if it’s worth it but for two people it ain’t. For 6 couples probably a bargain if you split the costs. Well perhaps the word bargain is pushing it. BSV for what I have seen appears great value and has all one needs. But value is always in the eye of the beholder. I like total privacy and will pay within reason.
Did notice on the private entrance to the beach it said Nude Bathing prohibited, not seen that before!
Anyway, 2 people on a 1 and a half mile beach. Unbelievable. Not an easy beach to walk with boulders abound and a bit rough but still stunning. Walked all the way to La Samanna and found some steps to their bar. Took Videos and pics of the area had a Mai Tai for the princely sum of $18.00!!!!! You couldn’t pay me enough to stay there. Loud rap music and the so called beautiful crowd prancing about. But the walk was lovely, slightly exhausting but sure I lost a few calories. Sat on a rock and contemplated whilst watching the sea come in and out and thought just how lucky we, me, whoever is to be here. 2 days left. Been a blast. Wife slighter better and that’s whats most important. Until the next time.

Baie Longue was for a long time our favorite beach. Beautiful and mostly private. While a bit rougher than some beaches, the water is beautiful and we enjoyed many a nice swim there. However, it is now so unoccupied that I don't feel as safe there as I once did. Increased reports of crime have not helped.
