Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has any information on the "Island View Guest House" on St. Thomas. My wife and I stayed there one night prior to a week on JVD 4-5 years ago and loved it. But there now seems to be mixed reviews on Trip Advisor and saw some mention on Facebook about their kids taking over running the place ? We're curious if they still serve dinners some nights etc ?

We have always wanted to go back just for a few nights but now are wondering if we should look for another place. Amy recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

As a place to stay Island View is still a very pleasant and convenient venue - well kept.
Dinner, before the 2017 storms, became very popular and had a quality product. After a long hiatus the reopening has generated less enthusiasm after an initial flurry of excitement - but they are serving a few nights a week - whether the new management has the same dedication to quality and customer service the comments you read are reflecting that. Same view but a different presentation.

We stayed at the View in 2015 and booked again in May this year. The View has changed.
Used to be a true B&B but no longer. No breakfast even though it was still listed on the web page as included.
They now are bringing in a catering company for the weekend BBQ. Catering company Food/service was great.
Ron and Beth have handed over the management to their sons. The service is not what it used to be.
Don't think we will be back.
