Hi all...
Not posting too often here, but I follow regularly. I was in the BVI 3 weeks ago. 1. On a Friday, CGB Boaty Balls were all spoken for at 0703. I literally had my finger on the mouse at 06.58AM, clicked on the ball I wanted at 0700.01 and it was taken!! Got lucky and was able to get another one, within the next 2 seconds. Not joking. At 0703, everything was gone. When we got there at like 1300, the ball I had booked was occupied, but the boat left immediately. So no problem. All FCFS were already taken, BTW.
2. We stayed on Saturday, and contrary to Friday, I had no problem getting my ball renewed at 0700. Most BoatyBalls stayed open until the night, and so did the FCFS. The reason is that Saturday is a rotation day for charterers coming and leaving, and so CGB was half empty all the time.
3. Advice to BoatyBall: PLEASE PLEASE, why not paint large white numbers on these orange balls so the numbers can be easily visible, instead of very difficult to see....
4. Web site easy to use, fast, no problem, even with my HotSpot from my phone.
Michael
