Just saw this information posted on Horizon's Facebook page: Thought it would be helpful info..

Good News in Travel Updates
Flights to St. Thomas, USVI are a popular route for travelers to the BVI. A 45-minute journey by ferry or private water taxi connects passengers between the two islands.

The Good News:
American Airlines has added a third daily flight between Miami and St. Thomas, USVI in time for the winter season. Effective December 18, 2019[/u], the flight will operate as a “same day turn”, departing Miami International Airport at 8:35 a.m. and arriving at Cyril E. King Airport at 12:04 p.m.

The return service departs St. Thomas the same day it arrives at 1:04 p.m., landing in Miami at 3:10 p.m.

American Airlines will also start service to St. Thomas from Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago, beginning December 21, 2019. The Dallas flights will operate year-round on Saturdays, while the Chicago service will operate seasonally, also on Saturdays.

United Airlines will also serve the Chicago-St.Thomas market with weekly Saturday flights, beginning November 2, 2019.

The Government of the Virgin Islands also announced that the ferry terminal at West End, Tortola is now open and on August 1, ferry companies resumed intra-island services between West End and both Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook, St Thomas.

What you need to know:
Service to the Tortola ports of Road Town and the recently re-opened terminal at West End is offered from St Thomas from either Charlotte Amalie (10 minutes drive from the airport) or Red Hook (35 - 40 minutes drive from the airport). The journey time from either port in Tortola to our base at Nanny Cay is a 10 - 15 minute drive.

Once you have confirmed your destination port and time of arrival, we will arrange for you to be met by one of our designated taxi drivers who will bring you to your yacht at Nanny Cay.

Since ferry times can vary, we recommend that you check and confirm the daily schedule with the service providers to book the time that best suits your travel schedule:
