There are two organizations noted in that article which most here have never heard of, and hopefully will never need, CROSS and SNSM.

CROSS, or more correctly CROSS AG, is the Centre Régionale Opérationnel de Surveillance et Sauvetage aux Antilles et Guyane, the Regional Surveillance and Sea Rescue Operation for the Antilles and Guyana. Based out of Guyana, CROSS AG coordinates sea rescue for the Caribbean between Anguilla and Guyana.

SNSM, Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer, National Sea Rescue Society in English, is an all-volunteer organization which performs sea rescues all over France and its overseas territories. There are SNSM groups in both St Martin and St Barth, both of which operate specialized sea rescue boats.

I wonder if the vessel or helicopter used by CROSS was situated in French Guyane at the time fisherman went missing and had to get there before search commenced.
Distance between Anguilla and Guyane is quite a lot to cover when an emergency is underway.

Very glad all turned out well and fisherman is safe and sound.

CROSS AG coordinates assets throughout the region, so my guess is that the assets would have been based much closer than Guyana. Going back and re-reading the article, all of the assets listed sound local, with the possible exception of the DASH-8 aircraft.
