Have friends renting a villa in Orient in September. I mentioned to them it is a slow time of year but what is actually closed in September?

Who knows now, since Irma?? It used to be that many of the restaurants in Grand Case closed during September. But since most of them still aren't even open since Irma, don't know this year. Again, it USED to be that almost all the Dutch side restaurants were open in September, but not sure what will happen this year.

As we are on island for two weeks during this time, we have always emailed restaurants under consideration if they are going to be open,
although the closings seem to be in line with previous years before Irma.
I do know that Spiga and Astrolabe will both be closed for holiday while I believe Le Cottage will be opening September 1.
Most restaurants on the Dutch side remain open.
La Villa does not close but Florence usually takes her holiday in late August, early September.
