What surprised me was that Divi gave them water and soda. What about giving them a lunch for the work that Divi didn't have to do?

Perhaps I am wrong, often am, but I didn't think Ft Amsterdam BELONGED to Divi. They control the entrance to it, I believe, but I didn't think they owned it..

Divi is on a long lease and the fort is not part of that lease. Also it seems the kids cleaned up the car park, which would be Divi’s. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the car park and Ft Amsterdam were pretty clean except for the sign posts at the fort blown down by Irma. Why didn’t Divi give them lunch? Who knows, maybe they were there before or after lunch. Maybe someone else donated lunch. I watched the Divi maintenance crew spend an hour clearing weeds out of the joints between pavers in the walkway. They don’t need kids to come cleanup the place for them to save a couple of bucks.
