Day two began with breakfast on our balcony while enjoying the morning rise. We spent the good part of the day at our little home away from home reading and relaxing on the beach. Waves started to get rough and throughout the day the surf got strong and stronger.

We met our friends at the airport and once they settled in we all met up at the pool for conversation, drinks and snacks.

Decided to eat dinner at SkipJacks. Since we were 8 people we called and Jimmy said no problem they would have a table for us. We got a table overlooking the marina. The Caribbean Lobsters were priced at $23.95. Most of them were over 2.5 lbs. I picked what looked like the smallest but he/she weighed in at 3 lbs. It came in at a heavy price but it's not as if I'm going to eat a 3 lb lobster again this trip. There was a mix of dishes eaten from our group, ribs, pasta, fish & chips. Some got wings which they all loved. I was happy with my lobster and double salad. Trying to continue staying off carbs as much as possible.

Glad to see you figured out the picture thing! Looks like a really good beginning. I resemble you on the carb thing, although I didn't really try to stay away this past trip. ...thus the title of the trip report, the French fry tour! Your self control is better than mine. Enjoy!

So hard not to eat a baguette on the pool deck while everyone is eating it and also last night but I'll save the carbs for the rice and peas because that I love from time to time. Carol, I do need help with the view. I changed the sort to view by Threat and want it to go back to last post. I've made the change but can't figure out how to save it so my view goes back to what I like. I sent an email to an Adm.

Louise -- re viewing mode, it's in your PREFERENCES. In the upper right hand corner of your screen, click on your own name. Once you open preferences, scroll down to Thread Display Mode. If you make any changes, make sure you scroll ALL the way down to the bottom and hit 'save changes'.

Potatoes are my 'carb cryptonite' . I love potatoes!

A three pound lobster!! Wow!!! We travel to Cape May, New Jersey and eat at the Lobster House a few times a year. I've never seen a lobster that weighed more than 2 1/2 pounds. Did you eat the whole thing by yourself? Wow!! I would love to do that. Hope you wore a bib so you didn't mess up you red dress.

Heck yes. A good part of weight is the shell and unlike Maine lobster there is no claw meat. No bibb, not offered. It's split open so easy to pull out lobster meat.

You go girl! Last time i had a lobster on SXM, it was a 3.5 grilled with garlic butter at Lee's. No one at the bar that night could believe i ordered one so big or that i would eat it...but i did and it was superb! How was yours done? Have cooked up to 14 lb. Montauk lobsters here at home....totally different than Caribbean lobsters, but to me they're all good! Have fun, am enjoying your posts!
