Taking the family down to the BVI at the end of December and I'm wondering if anyone does an overnight charter - like an extended day sail? It's probably cost prohibitive, but I at least wanted to check. I see these images at the Soggy Dollar Bar and would love to wake up on a cameraman there one morning as well as experience the sunset from White Bay.
Thx!

I would think that would be difficult to find. What about staying a couple of days on land on or near White Bay? Sandcastle is still closed, I think, but there are a couple of other places around. Just saw you were talking the end of December. Probably very difficult to get someplace on land for a couple of days at that time of year.

Most charter companies have a 4 day minimum because turnaround costs are high.

I second the suggestion of a night or two on JVD - White Bay Villas are very nice.
Carol - I don’t believe Sandcastle is rebuilding at all - could be mistaken but that was my last info.
Other than that, a day trip to White Bay would likely be the only option.

OK, I wasn't sure on Sandcastle. Thanks.

Ok, thanks for the replies. To me, the idea is more than just White Bay, it would be kind of a trial run on a longer charter for a future trip.
Does anyone recommend a particular day sail company where you can charter the whole boat for the day? There are five of us and even if we couldn't do an overnight, it would be great to have a boat to ourselves for a day.
Thx!

You might try inquiring with the BVI Charter Yacht Society. They may know one or two of their members who would consider a one or two night charter. https://www.crewedyachtsbvi.com

What he said. You might be able to find a crewed/private boat that is between guests that would do it. They are always looking fro ways to generate a little extra cash.

You could check with Stormy Pirates. The owners have a LIpari 41 that used to be in our fleet. They do some shorter-term trips. Possibly leave out of Red Hook and drop off in the BVI's. Sail Pending at Stormy Pirates

Thanks everyone. I'll look into these options. First trip back since Irma and we want to get on the water.

If you'd be ok on a Monohull, I can see if our boat might work for you. I know it has some time booked so not sure it would fit your dates, but we could probably work something out.
