Do the taxis and buses full of cruise passengers still drop those going to Orient at the old parking lot next to where Pedro's was located? I guess is that lot even still there?

Thanks!

In September the taxis and small tour busses actually dropped the people off in the small parking area located right in back of Perch Lite. A few really surprised folks! There was only one ship in one of the few days I was there so I can't tell you where any of the larger busses may park other than the area behind where Pedro's was.

In SXM now. Small busses and taxis drop people behind the Perch. Most people get a drink and stay there. The other day it was raining and an excursion tour of six ATVs pulled up. A bunch of us were huddled inside waiting for the rain to blow over. The ATV riders were scared to go in side. I have also seen bus drivers lead excursions through the rows of chairs. I have talked to two cruise ship couples that stayed and enjoyed the beach for the day.

After being here a few days, it looks to me like many of the buses and taxis are now dropping off the majority of people at places other than Pedro's. Bikini Beach and that circle in Orient Village seem to be busier than previously and the Pedro's/Club O area doesn't seem to be getting nearly the drop-offs.

This question was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I'm staying in Orient Village again just NW of Pedros lot and was hoping to NOT be ran over walking after a few cocktails. Instead, it sounds like I'll have a lot more company at Perch instead. You can't be a regular until after you've been a first timer. Thanks again all for the great information!! So can wait to be there in 22 days!
