I tried to find prices on Delta's web site tfor better seats than economy to no avail. Anyone have info? Are seats worth the added price? We're going to Amsterdam and hope to rest and arrive fresh next morning.

Sorry, you can't find the pricing for the Delta comfort? It should come up automatically. For a long flight like that, extra leg room comfort definitely is worth it to me, unless it's a huge amount more.

A few years ago I flew to SXM Delta and paid a little extra for comfort (may have been $50). It was well worth it. At that time, it included roomy seats with extra leg room and included free cocktails. It was well worth the price. If I recall correctly, the comfort seats were the row directly behind first class, so probably limited seats.

Thank you. Maybe the diagram of the plane seating I looked at was first class because seats were two together but staggered in each row. I thought they might be like Jet Blue Mint. Maybe they weren't called comfort after all.

they were definitely called comfort seat and gave me the option when I selected seats. At that time, they did come up as "comfort", but again, that was a few years ago!

Delta's website won't show you a particular cabin or seat if that class is sold out. Try the flexible dates option in your search and see if they pop up for different dates/flights. Comfort+ is very much worth it IMHO..early boarding call, dedicated luggage space are great, and being 6'5", the extra legroom really makes a difference on long flights in my experience. I hope you're able to track some down. Amsterdam is fantastic..enjoy your trip!

I had the same problem when I booked my December trip to SXM. I had to search for flights from BOI to ATL and then ATL to SXM to see Comfort+ seats. If I searched BOI to SXM the website would not show Comfort+ even though seats were available.

Rosemary--glad you got your answer. I will leave this open, just in case someone has other questions about Delta Comfort.

We've upgrade before and it's Delta Comfort. You get extra leg room plus other amenities but to me it wasn't worth $149 pp Outbound one way this trip. In the past it was $49 which was well worth the pre boarding, extra leg room, cocktail, upgraded snacks, blanket, etc. Inbound Delta comfort one way pp this trip is $79. Forgot to add you get one free checked bag with Comfort class.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Fabila. Same with Jet Blue. Price way up. Thankfully hubby has short legs and JB regular seats have good room so no need to upgrade. We've never flown Delta before so I had no idea but sounds like it's not worth much unless a checked bag costs more than that $149?

I'm usually in charge of our travel arrangements but our next trip is a European River Cruise that includes airfare so all the booking was done by an agent, no questions asked of us. I will have to ask them about a charge for luggage because it was not mentioned. Package is for economy seating but I thought maybe we might (could?) upgrade but now won't bother.

We fly Delta direct BOS- AMS but return is Swiss air from Zurich to AMS then back on Delta AMS-BOS. We were already told no seat assignment on the Swiss until boarding pass issued. It will be a learning experience.

That seating issue happened to us a bit back and I called Swiss air and gave them my Delta confirm number and they gave me the Swiss confirm for the Swiss Air segment. I could then log into Swiss Air and choose my seats....this was three years ago so I don't know if it still applies but worth a call.

..and..RE: Delta Comfort+....interesting. I checked the Delta website for a SXM-BOS return on 1/26 and it only had "main cabin" listed as a possibility...one column....no "sold out's"....but we are in Comfort+ on the flight I checked so they must only show availability...and...I love the Comfort+ seats but I have noticed as they fill up the price increases ....but, with that said, the starting price is higher than it used to be ....
