The “ destination “ magazine that you are handed when boarding for St Thomas has a large ad for the restaurant “Hook Line and Sinker”
In the Frenchtown area. In the ad it offers a free pint from Frenchtown brewing with every meal. They just flat out don’t honor it. Our party of six c spent a bunch of money there, but likely our last visit. We had to argue with the waitress who initially said no, then who insisted on seeing the ad, (luckily we brought it) had to check with a manager, and then tore the ad out of EACH of the three magazines before “allowing” us one free beer per COUPLE even though both ordered full priced meals. The ad makes no mention of bringing the coupon or an expiration date.that said - Frenchtown brew was quite good and I can recommend them.

Disappointing business practice.

Thanks. What about the twisted cork, also nearby?

Twisted Cork has been consistently very good pre- and post-Irma.

Have to say I've not had any issues at the 'new' HL&S and I visit it a couple times a year. Personally nothing beats a pizza, beer and friendly service at the Pie Whole the first night at CYOA after a long day of traveling.

Yep, skipping HLS. We hit Sea La Vie, Bella Blue, Twisted Cork, Oceana. But, our mainstay and default is Frenchtown Bistro. We had good pizzas last week at Pie Whole, but wish they had Frenchtown Brewing beers.

Cheers, RickG

We're headed back to CYOA this summer after a two-year hiatus.
Thanks for these tips. We'll be sleeping aboard the first night, and figuring out where to eat that night is always a question.
We like the Twisted Cork and Bella Blue, so they are high on the list.

French Quarter Bistro has continually stepped up their food game.
Sea La Vie has extremely good dining choices and a wine list to match.
Twisted Cork has maintained high standards.
Oceana is now open and gets better each week and has that spectacular location to match.
The walkable Frenchtown restaurant scene makes stopping in more than one place for an evening out from the dock easy and enjoyable.
Welcome Back.

We love French Quarter Bistro, former Betsy's, and it has parking. Pie Whole has been better lately. French Town Brewing is a great place to visit and provision some beers; they do 32 oz Crowler cans.

Cheers, RickG
