So! It’s Sunday evening and we’re definitely on the downside of our stay.

I’d love to have a wonderful slate of exciting things we did today to share but about as good as it got was pool time here at BSV with long-time Canadian friends.

We did have an awesome dinner here at home - grilled rib-eyes, and yes we brought them with us from home and no it wasn’t to save money since we have still managed to spend a small fortune on other foodstuffs. Oh, and Chef Johnny made campfire baked potatoes to go with the steak. Yummy!! Kudos to the chef since he did an awesome good job and they were cooked to perfection. And sadly, that’s about it.

The waves are still crashing although people have been in the water here today, and the surf is still rising to about four feet or so from our beach loungers. There are a few more working boats anchored off the beach but no more mega yachts out there. Saba and the other near islands are still visible, some more so than others and a special treat this morning was watching so many sailboats under sail as opposed to motoring by. And there you about have it........

My thanks to those who have been traveling along with us and my apologies for the lack of anything exciting to share about this trip. Two more full days and then it’s head back to reality Wednesday. And that really sux.......But even with that said, from our perspective it has been a lovely trip in every way.

Respectfully,

pat

Pat, that's the way things need to go sometimes. Just doing nothing. It is the relaxation that you need, and time away from our overly scheduled lives at home.

Sometimes.....ya just gotta lime! wink

I haven't really done a report on our trip...we didn't do much but eat, swim, drive, sail, and eat! First trip EVER with no jewelry purchase. EVER! That is saying something. We did get into town but it was only to look for flip-flops and a phone.

Hey, at least you have the chance to write about having a lovely time in paradise even if you are doing nothing except eating. I had to rake the leaves for the third time in the past 2 weeks while you lounged by the pool. Carol and wish we could have been there with you. April will be here soon and we will return for another 3 weeks.

Pat loving all the things you're doing or not doing. Sometimes the exciting part of SXM is doing nothing exciting. Enjoy and cherish your last couple of days.

Just sharing the sunshine is good enough for those of us living vicariously through your reports.

Thank you all for your kind words and good thoughts. It really has been a lovely trip in every way - good friends, good weather, good food, good digs - could it get any better? Longer? Maybe, but better? I don’t think so and since DH is barely good with two weeks we’d probably end up doing separate vacations if I pushed for longer trips. Be happy is my motto and it helps!

Thanks for the report and doing nothing special(not an ad for the restaurant of the same name).

Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.
