This isn't on Carnival. Since this was in the port of Cozumel...I believe that the ship's captains are not behind the ''wheel''....but the ship is automatically controlled by the port ''pilots". It is the pilots that bring all the ships into and out of the ports...and dock them. After the ships leave the ports, the pilots are picked up by chase boats to go on to the next ship.

Pilots are only there to give advice on local knowledge, the Captain is always in control of the ship, except in the Panama Canal.
