My cynicism says lip service. Just as with US politics, every candidate says I will do this and I will do that yet they never say how they will accomplish it and how they will pay for it. These just sound like new years resolutions or "goals" that never get reached.

Frankly, one of their number one priorities SHOULD be to finish the infrastructure for the Orient carbets, which they claimed was finished in October, but is not. Apparently the Collectivite is going to let yet ANOTHER high season go by without finishing the job. Ridiculous.
