We will be in SXM when the Superbowl takes place. Anyone watched US football from the island and have an idea for a good pub to watch from. Bavaria, The Pub and Rembrandts come to mind but would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Jim & Laraine

Oyster bay resort has a nice buffet for the super bowl and giant screen, plus a very nice bar with multiple tv screens

I think you will find lots of places showing the Superbowl. When we are on island during the Super Bowl we go to The Boon Beach Bar and Restaurant at Mary's Boon Hotel on Simpson Bay, A huge screen on the beach plus a bunch of TV's in the bar and restaurant areas. Nice crowd of people, good food and lots of fun.

Pretty sure Casino Royale will have it on.

If you are going to be on island a couple of days before the game, just buy a Daily Herald and check out all the ads. There will be tons of places showing the game.

Thanks Carol and everyone, great ideas. Our trip is planned for Jan 22 to Feb 5 and we do pick up the Daily Herald most every day while we are on the island. Hoping Baltimore will be involved in the game.

Cheers,
Jim

Jim and Laraine--me too, on the Baltimore deal! handshake Hopefully you are staying somewhere that it is on your TV at 'home'. I would get dinner and then head home to watch the second half.

That's a good plan too, Carol! Especially if the bar is extremely loud. Another thought, it will be at least 10:30pm SXM time by the time the game is over. Rather not drive too far after it.

That would be my plan. As you said, it will be fairly late by the time the game is over. Regardless, enjoy!! My favorite team was New Orleans, who lost, AGAIN, so I may well be rooting for an AFC team, for the first time in a long time, since the Patriots won't be there. circle

The Hawks took care of that.

We were in NOL in September. Watched a Saints game at a bar in the French Quarter. Crazy fans but fun as hell.....
