These are from a place south of me ....tides are about 30 feet . Didn’t stay long enough to see it coming in .
My husband Ward is a harbour pilot in Saint John New Brunswick ...highest tides in the world. Pretty freaky at times , especially when the freshette is running .

The last picture is a bus load of tourists walking on the sea floor. In an hour it will be covered with water ....pretty cool

Kim,

The great shots continue! Looks like we were at some of the exact same places. I have almost identical pictures.
I could sit and watch and wait for the tide change every day. Just amazing

What amazed me we could walk offshore this far, and within a couple hours this same location would have been 27 feet deep.
Crazy

Cool pics! I didn't know what you meant by "freshette is running"? googled freshette....interesting, but I don't think that is what you were referring to. ;-)

Long Answer
It was early October when we were there.
Temperature was not too cold, but dampness and a steady breeze made us wish we had not left our jackets in the car.
You need something to knock the wind down up there

Short Answer
She Was!

So each spring when all of the snow in the north part of the province melts it funnels down through the reversing falls in Saint John making the water and tides fast and high . Very challenging to dock super tankers and monster ships
