A little late, but good service should be recognized even if delayed. This year (actually December) for the first time I rented a car from Kenny's. The rental was based in a large part because of his involvement on this board and his reviews.
It's usually easy to be pleasant and happy with a rental car company when no issues occur. Judgement must often be deferred until there is a problem.

On a Sunday morning, I had a flat tire. Fortunately I was at the resort. I called Lesley and let him know. He instructed me to go about my day and not worry about the flat. He said he had a set of keys and would be out in 1/2 hour to fix it. He, indeed, showed up within 1/2 hour, fixed the tire and was on his way. Absolutely no hassle.

Again, Lesley, thank you and I look forward to renting from you next year

Lesley is the best. A number of years ago my wife and I were returning from one side of the island to the other and hit a pothole and got a flat. Unfortunately, there was no jack in the car, but someone stopped by and helped. We got to the hotel and got cleaned up and took off to grab dinner. Upon arriving we realized another tire was going down. We called Kenny's (actually someone in the restaurant called for us) and were told to grab a seat and a beverage and it would be taken care of. Not long afterward, Lesley showed up, apologized profusely, and informed us he had changed the tire and made sure we had another spare and a jack. Had that been one of the big rental companies we likely would still be waiting.

I am a Marketing professor at a large University in the US and I tell that story every semester as an example of superior customer service.

That’s the thing! You never know how good or bad a company is until there’s a situation and unfortunately, by then it’s often too late. But NEVER with Lesley Bruce aka Kenny’s Car Rental.

We once had a situation with our car being badly vandalized in a break in attempt at one of the island beaches. We called Lesley who was there in under a half hour. He assessed the situation and put us in his personal car and sent us on our way while he waited for the flatbed to arrive. In the end he didn’t charge us or our cc for any of the damage and actually apologized for the inconvenience.

He’s always been a stand up guy and I would never hesitate to recommend him. I’m glad your experiences were the same.

Respectfully,

pat

Thanks Folks our business is our life and now our Son Elijah has just completed his first year in George Brown College doing Arts and Graffic Designs which he loves doing . His art work is a modern form for use later in cartoons and drama movies. And his grades are average 3.40. That is why we still have to pay for his studies and living before he can venture out on his own. The funny thing is that their home , St.Maarten is like tourism for them when they visit lol . Beaches and good food .

Customer service wins every time.
My bride used to be a trainer for cosmetic Co's (Lauder, Aiden, Lise Watier) and she held many of her seasonal schools at the Holiday Inn Yorkdale due to their customer service. I would drop her off and by the time she walked to the boardroom she would be met with her latte.
One wintery morning, as I drove away, I noticed 4 hotel workers in the outdoor parking lot sweeping snow off about 70 cars.
That would blow me away as a guest especially if it was my last memory of my stay.
This hotel is often in the top 10 Holiday Inns worldwide.
And I really liked the 65+ bartender, Rita. She poured a mean shot of Lagavulin!

Dave and I could write an entire book about Lesley's impeccable service. Elijah was a toddler I think when we first discovered Kenny's. We usually visit the island 3 or 4 times a year. Enough said. Thank you Lesley.

Michael and I switched to Kenny's Car Rental in large part because of Lesley's involvement on this board. We have been so glad that we switched. We have been nothing but pleased with the great cars and care we get. Thanks Lesley!
